Agreement confirms elite supplier status

Cromwell Polythene has been appointed an approved supplier by Nationwide Hygiene Supplies, formalising an arrangement that has its roots in a trading relationship that is almost 40 years old.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Cromwell will now be able to supply all 19 Nationwide members with more than 500 products, including a core range of black and clear refuse sacks, compactor sacks, office bin products and wheeled bin liners that will be available to all 35 branches of the network. The company's UN accredited clinical waste sacks, which make extensive use of star seal technology and are used by leading healthcare, clinical and specialist waste collection companies, will also be available to Nationwide members.

Cromwell has dealt with more than half of the Nationwide Hygiene network for many years, the oldest relationship - with Trevor Iles - going back to the early 1970's. "We already trade with 10 of the group's members," says Cromwell Polythene's sales director Paul Fleetwood. "Under the terms of the new agreement we'll be able to supply all 35 UK branches with a wide range of storage and collection products for the 'away from home' cleaning market, including sacks and bags in just about every size, shape and colour imaginable. We could not be more proud than to have our elite supplier status recognised in this fashion."

Says Nationwide CEO David Scholes: "Nationwide Hygiene Supplies is delighted to have selected Cromwell Polythene as an approved supplier to the group and believes it is something that should have been done many years earlier.
