Carlisle awarded Arriva contract

Carlisle Support Services has been awarded the contract to provide Arriva, the UK's largest bus operator, with fleet and depot cleaning services. The contract will be the UK's biggest bus cleaning contract and will involve operations across the country.

This contract win exemplifies the type of enlightened partnership approach to providing soft services for which Carlisle has become renowned and the company has worked with Arriva to produce a service delivery model which will accommodate the diverse needs of a leading transport operator.

The contract will be marked by the introduction of value-engineered solutions which will both improve efficiency and improve the passenger experience. An important element of this is the introduction of various hand held technologies to improve communications, as well as work tracking and reporting.
