Game on for LPM Cleaning at SONY Computer Entertainment Europe

SCEE-R&D_142.jpgLPM Cleaning & Support Services, has won the contract to provide cleaning services to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) for five of its sites, including its design studios.

SCEE, which has its head office in London, is responsible for the distribution, marketing and sales of PlayStation3, PlayStationVita, PlayStation2, PSP and PlayStationNetwork software and hardware. It also develops and publishes entertainment software for these formats, and games are tested in its design studios, which are operational 24 hours a day.

LPM was originally invited to tender for SCEE's studios in Liverpool but after realising the benefits of having a national solution and strong support from the management team, it was expanded to include multiple sites. After a seamless mobilisation, LPM now has around 50 cleaning operatives undertaking general cleaning duties across SCEE's three London sites, as well as sites in Runcorn and Liverpool.

Joe Read, Sales & Operations Director of LPM says that the contract represents a significant challenge: "Whilst we have been tasked with carrying out general cleaning duties, the nature of SCEE's business means that we are operating in a different kind of environment.

"The studios are open 24 hours a day and the facilities used intensely by the testing teams who are scrutinising all aspects of the games before they are bought to market. Our operatives are integral to the smooth running of the studios."
