New Soybean Resin urinals cement Waterless Co's environmental credentials!
Waterless Co., the first manufacturer of no-water urinal systems in the US and whose products are used throughout the world, has once again shown the world that it really cares for the environment by introducing a range of Soybean Resin urinals to its portfolio.
Several models in the company's High Performance Composite range can be specified, made partially (up to 30%) of Envirez, a soybean based resin. Each batch of Envirez will save on petroleum, resulting in potential greenhouse gas reduction.
A Waterless urinal saves on average 20,000 to 45,000 gallons of water a year and if you want to go one stage further in preserving our environment, to order any Soybean urinal - they are available in standard sanitary white or colour - you simply specify at time of order, that you would like the Soybean based models.
Each ADA, ANSI Z124.9, A117 and CSA compliant urinal includes a manufacturing certificate and is supplied with two EcoTrap inserts, mounting hardware, gasket and installation instructions. EcoTrap inserts do not require gaskets or O-rings - installers simply pressfit - and the insert removes completely for servicing and change-out. No taking traps apart for cleaning and to reassemble!
All wall drain No-Flush urinal models install like flushed urinals to the drain line via a gasket and flange so eliminate the need for adaptors. All wall drain units have a closed urinal bottom to avoid vandalism, so there is no need to buy separate costly bottom covers.
All of the company's urinals have a full 2in. interior drain line. This allows easy line cleaning and access if needed and the urinal does not need to be removed from the wall for snaking, which saves time.

As Cleanzine 'went to press' we learned that Waterless Co. has earned one of the highest scores - 4.5 out of a possible 5 - in the new Environmental Leader Technology Reviews Program, which recognises excellence in products and services that provide companies with energy and environmental benefits.
A panel of independent judges, from such well-known companies and organisations as PepsiCo, Staples, The University of California (Berkeley), Owens Corning, Yahoo., and others, determined the scores.
According to one judge, no-water urinal systems manufactured by Waterless Co. are "a great product for saving fresh water and eliminating the generation of gray water that must be treated using energy and chemicals, which are costly. These no-water urinals are easy to install, maintain, and use."
Another judge, who noted that the product has been on the market for nearly 25 years, added, "The technology is excellent...and highly effective."
