The TomCat Orbitz range of scrubbers from FactoryCat have - literally - landed in the UK this week and you can see them ably demonstrated on a range of floor surfaces including concrete, marble and vinyl - showcasing their ability to strip multiple layers of seal without the use of harmful chemicals, reducing the risk of slip and fall potential and minimising the impact on the environment.
The team on the stand told us that they are based on the well proven MicroMag, MiniMag and Magnum pedestrian models - now also available in a GTX ride-on version - and that they are available with the new oscillating brush deck, which can be fitted with a range square pads & screens for fast effective cleaning and stripping of vinyl floors. The 240v & 110v models are being launched at the Show.
"As we all push for new ways to increase our protection of the environment and the operator, this new approach to floor preparation can help achieve increased productivity," they said. "They are simple to use and quiet in operation, making them ideal for schools and hospitals, and they can work with a variety of quality pads, eliminating up to 95% of the chemical stripping required. Both models are easy to use and maintain - new operators can be trained in a matter of minutes, unlike the 'expertise' that is often learned the hard way with traditional rotary machines. You get better and more consistent results, and eliminate those large swirl marks.
