Vax Commercial appointed by Travelodge

Vax Commercial has won a two-year contract to supply Travelodge, one of the UK's leading hotel brands, with its VCC-08 tub vacuum cleaner. After an extensive eight-week tender process, which saw the VCC-08 put through its paces at Travelodge's Head Office in Thame and its hotels in Swansea and Swanleigh, the UK designed product came out the clear winner.

Travelodge has recently announced a £223 million brand investment to further grow its business, with £57 million of that going into a new room concept. To ensure this new product offering makes Travelodge the smart choice for hotels, keeping rooms clean and fresh is of paramount importance. As such, selecting a vacuum cleaner that delivers high performance, a robust and durable design, along with dedicated aftercare support was critical.

Launched in 2012, the VCC-08 vacuum cleaner - which was designed in the UK by Vax's British Design Team - is part of a range of commercial floorcare products from Vax Commercial. The VCC-08 is a powerful tub vacuum that was designed for professional cleaning, with its twin speed 1400W commercial grade motor, producing an outstanding 300 air watts of suction power for quick and effective cleaning performance on all surfaces.

A large nine litre capacity dust container means you can get on with the job without stopping. It also provides energy savings of up to 50% and comes with high level HEPA 12 filtration, on board tools, foot operated controls, a parking slot for the hose and a central handle so it can be carried with one hand. For extra convenience, the motor is housed at the bottom of the tub for optimum stability.
