Being in Europe it was odd to hear a machine’s width described in inches rather than metric values, but once Tecnica’s Stefano Vidoni explained that the equipment on his stand is popular in the US and UK, it made more sense.
The Tecnica HD18 carpet cleaning system is offered in widths of 14 and 18 inches. It comes with a high performance suction motor, an electronically protected belt brush drive and a multi level filtering system which comprises a double layer dust bag, engine protection double filter, external pre-filter and an H13 HEPA filter. It offers filtration to 99.97% at 0.3 micron.
“People like these machines because they’re powerful and easy to maintain,” said Stefano, before deftly demonstrating how quickly and easily the unit can be opened up and the dustsack changed.
The 1000W machine has a 6.5 litre dustsack capacity and an onboard tube which extends to four times its own length. The smaller machine weighs 7.6 Kg and the larger on 8.0 Kg and both operate at 66 dB(A).
