Racecourse stays cleaned up for festival

* Galway-races.jpgEvents and venue cleaning specialist Ryans Cleaning made sure Galway Race Festival ran smoothly by working day and night over the festival week. More than 127,000 racegoers enjoyed the events during the festival, which was hit by extreme rain for two of the days despite ideal conditions for the rest of the festival.

Pat Ryan, CEO of Ryans Cleaning, reports: "It was a great effort from all of our staff during an intense seven days when everyone had to be on top of their job. We were well organised and we were able to keep everything looking clean and tidy despite the weather on two of the days."

Galway Races is a major festival that starts on the last Monday of July every year, held at Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway, and the longest of all the race meets held in Ireland.

The success of Ryans Cleaning at Galway follows the clean-up at the renowned five-day Punchestown Festival in Ireland in May which also attracted huge crowds.

Racecourse Manager John Moloney says: "It's been a great festival and there have been so many highlights. I must thank Ryans Cleaning for all its hard work in keeping everything spotless throughout so that the crowds could enjoy their day.

"We've had great feedback from so many people and we'll start working on next year's festival in the next week or so. We'd like to thank all our patrons, sponsors, staff and everyone who worked so hard to make this year's festival such a great success."

Ryans Cleaning has provided services to some of the most memorable festivals and events across the UK and Ireland this year including British Summertime in Hyde Park, the Download Festival at Donington Park, Parklife in Manchester and Robbie Williams and Rhianna at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
