Reducing corporate property energy costs: conference addresses challenges and solutions

A conference run by the Building Research Establishment Trust’s online news portal is set to tackle the questions, challenges and practical options for improving energy efficiency across corporate property portfolios.

Taking place at the Royal Academy of Engineering, London, on 20th  November 2013, 'Cutting the Corporate Energy Bill' will address the pivotal issues and how to resolve them - including retrofit challenges, cost-cutting measures and funding - within the context of the myriad building types and an evolving regulatory framework.

Speakers who will impart their wisdom and share their experiences include Martin Smith, Head of Energy at Royal Mail, Steve Whyman, Managing Director of Broadgate Estates, and Matthew Ulterino of the Greater London Authority/C40 Cities for Climate Leadership. Jonathan Maxwell, CEO of Sustainable Development Capital will speak about third party investment opportunities for corporate organisations.

Commenting on the upcoming conference, Jo Smit, Editor, Building4change said: "This important event for property developers, senior executives, CSR professionals, energy service companies and building contractors amongst others will provide vital insight into identifying the right solutions and getting the very best out of their buildings."

The conference is supported by ISA, Broadgate Estates, Philips, Global Action Plan, NUS, SDCL and Royal Mail.
