'uBin' - Best Recycled Plastic Product winner 2013

Manufacturing engineer Will Hayes, through his own small company, has designed and manufactured the stylish uBin to encourage responsible recycling of rubbish in offices, schools, universities, hospitals and other typical working environments.

That in itself is commendable enough, but the fact that the uBin is actually made from UK sourced post-consumer plastic.... That's old water bottles, yoghurt pots, coffee cups etc to you and me - has helped it win the 'EPRO Best Recycled Plastic Product' Award 2013 too.

Moe than 150 companies from the world of plastic manufacturing submitted products for the EPRO Best Recycled Product 2013 but Will's uBin, already proving successful in the marketplace, was the only UK product to be nominated as one of the three finalists. The others were from Germany and Ireland.

EPRO is a European based association of organisations involved in the recovery and recycling of plastics, and every year they invite manufacturers of products containing plastics from recycling, to participate. The main objective of the competition is to raise awareness of the usefulness of recycled plastic... to recognise, encourage and promote new products that utilise this precious resource.

The uBin was announced as the winner of this award at the Identiplast Congress in Paris last week. It was the only award of the conference event and carries much prestige within the global plastics industry.
