Budapest hosts Clean Europe competition in four weeks' time

* Screen-Shot-cleaning-comp.jpgThe Hungarian Cleaning Technology Association (MATISZ) has asked us to remind readers that the next Clean Europe competition, being held in Budapest, is just four weeks away. It is being staged on the final day of the Building Energetics & Renovation Exhibition & Conference, which is running alongside the Revetment Technics Exhibition & Tiling Conference. The exhibitions are being held from 19th to 21st February 2014 and are free of charge to pre-registered visitors.

On the final day, 21st February, MATISZ's programme will kick in and the programme is as follows:

10.00 - 12.00: Professional round-table discussion, open to MATISZ members, facilities managers and representatives of foreign professional associations. The theme will focus on environmentally-friendly cleaning and the introduction of environmentally-friendly brands - the Clean Europe competition will subsequently show its practical implementation. Before making a decision on whether or not to participate, it's worth learning what Tibor Ritz, leading expert of MATISZ, has to say:

"Transformation is going on in the market. The success of this transformation depends on the cooperation of participants in efficiently establishing targeted economic ecosystems. It is similar to nature. However, we do not have enough time for this transformation to proceed over a million years. There are two questions that need to be answered: 'With whom'? and 'With what'?"

13.00: The first leg of the Clean Europe 2014 cleaning technology professional tournament starts. "We are hoping to receive applications from more teams," says Tibor. "Teams need to comprise two members. To apply, you simply need to email, giving the names of the participants together with information about the company that employs them, to [email protected]

The competition will be slightly different to that held in 2013, in as much as 'wet mopping' is going to be replaced by 'impregnated mopping'. Single disc machine handling remains in the tournament with the same criteria.

15.00: Conference speech, Tibor Ritz:

"Cleaning technology is the profession that preserves the value of buildings and their contents, as well as our outside spaces, for a long time. In some cases cleaning professionals even increase the value of flooring, by restoring it well. Inappropriate interventions may damage it and they may have a negative impact on tiled surfaces too. Therefore, dialogue between the cleaning-technology and tiling professions is important - particularly as both also face the same market, professional and sustainability issues. In recent years, more studies, Standards and Directives have been created, the use of which, may improve our economic environment. The speech will give an international overview of these areas."

If you plan to attend the event and/or take part in the Clean Europe competition and have yet to book accommodation, the team at the MATISZ head office will be happy to help. They can also supply a copy of the competition rules.
