Prestigious international Red dot award for Vermop Salmon’s Sprint V holder

* Vermop1.jpgGareth Jenkins, managing director for Vermop UK and Ireland, (left) and Bavarian-based Thomas Weber, who has recently been appointed marketing manager, told us about the company’s comprehensive research, development and testing facilities. These are clearly being put to good use, as the Sprint V flat mop holder has just won the internationally acclaimed Red Dot award for product design 2014.

Since its market launch in September 2013, Sprint V has won two well known design prizes – but the Red Dot is the most prestigious award of all…

Vermop convinced the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014 40-member expert panel with the high quality of the design of the Sprint V holder. Within the current competitive environment the international experts discussed and evaluated 4,815 submissions from 53 nations. Only designs which enthuse with quality and innovative capacity are awarded a Red Dot by the judges.

The new generation Sprint V flat mop holder guarantees dual time saving for daily use. Cleaning staff can attach mops faster than ever before as thanks to the holder’s V shape, it slips smoothly into the pouches of the mop – and due to the intuitively usable hand switch, new staff do not have to be specifically trained to use it.

The holder also contributes to greater square meter coverage in premises cleaning as it is particularly light and manoeuvrable and allows a speedy mopping process, even in heavily-furnished areas, with its optimised contact surface ensuring even mopping and very good dirt removal.

Furthermore, with the Sprint V holder, you are also investing into your staff’s back health. The holder is opened via a hand switch while the operator remains in an upright position and the mop is discarded hygienically without having to be touched. Bending down to lift up dirty mops is no longer necessary!

“The average cleaning operative bends over around 4,000 times a year to lift a soiled mop off the floor,” explained Thomas. “At the same time, back pain is the most frequent reason for medically-certified sick leave. It causes 7% of all lost working days.* This is why, in developing cleaning equipment, Vermop focuses closely on methods of use which are easy on the back. Optimise the working conditions of your staff with the Sprint V holder!”

Gareth told us that the company was u ing the show to focus on presenting individual and tailor made concepts and systems to customers.

These range from the clean room mop, bespoke configured Equipe trolleys and tailor made cleaning solutions to everything needed for achieving perfect results in professional cleaning. “The systems have been optimised for all components to interlink and thus save on costs,” he explained.
