Samsic strengthens UK presence with Regent rebranding
A major revision of UK contractor Regent Samsic's market offer has launched at www.regentsamsic.com. The Coventry-based company's services have been aggregated into a single brand presence, with increased prominence given to owner Groupe Samsic, reflecting the French giant's upscaled ambitions for the UK building support services marketplace.
Foremost in the revision is the centralising of Regent Samsic's mainstay cleaning and security operations to meet growing demand for single-source, bundled service offers.
The revision takes in revised branding, new uniforms, vehicle livery, office signage and related aspects of presentation and marketing for Regent Samsic, whose 14 regional offices provide cleaning, security and complementary facility management support services to 1700 sites across the UK occupied by 750 clients.
Commenting on the developments at the company's annual management conference, Regent Samsic joint managing director John Critchell said:
"With the marketplace moving toward multi-service delivery, the time is ideal for repositioning our business as a multi service provider. We are developing a growing portfolio managed directly and via approved service partners taking in complementary services such as portering and handyman duties, waste management, grounds maintenance, pest control and M&E, amongst others.
"Groupe Samsic brings an even broader range of skills and expertise to the UK facilities sector market where our aim is to develop into its most successful supplier through service excellence, innovation and employing and training the best people within the industry."
In an address to an audience of 100 Regent Samsic managers, Groupe Samsic international president, Olivier Payen, outlined Samsic's international aims to exploit new markets with factotum offers spanning green space management to payroll outsourcing. He said:
"Regent Samsic has done a great job of complementing the international strengths we can offer as a group with the local focus it provides clients through its regional operations and management teams.
"The time is right for enabling our UK subsidiary to provide even more to its clients and as one of Europe's largest and best-resourced providers, we are ideally positioned to support it in our joint aims."
Founded in 1986 and based in Rennes, Samsic is one of Europe's largest business service providers and France's second largest cleaning company.
Since formation, Samsic has acquired over 80 established businesses and launched over 320 new companies to service the needs of 20,000 clients in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and the UK.
Samsic employs 70,000 people globally. Group turnover (2012/13) was €1.45 billion.
