Vax Commercial launches VCSD-03 cordless hard floor spot washer

There's a spillage stain on the canteen floor... or a leaky tap has caused a flood in the office washroom... or clients have ignored your entrance mats and walked-in mud, rain and debris from outside... If only there was a machine that offered all the convenience of a mop and bucket, but which didn't demand all the hard work...

Now there is - the VCSD-03 cordless hard floor spot washer from Vax Commercial! "It's so easy to grab a mop and bucket from the cleaning cupboard," says the company's Emma Tomkins (pictured).

"A good scrub with a mop will help to remove stains, but constantly squeezing it out to remove the dirty water is laborious as it just ends up straight back on the floor! "Now we can eliminate manual scrubbing with an alternative, more hygienic clean, that scrubs, sucks up dirty water and picks up spills effortlessly - all thanks to the VCSD-03.

"Bringing the brand's new LithiumLife powered cordless technology to the commercial environment for the first time, the VCSD-03 is a lightweight, compact machine that cleans for up to 60 minutes, (the Lithium-ion battery has a 30 minute runtime, and as it comes with a second battery, you can clean for up to 60 minutes without needing to charge). And because it's cordless, it doesn't have a cable to plug in or trip over.

"Floors are left instantly dry, so there's no waiting around and zero downtime. "Vax Commercial's unique SpinScrub brushes do the hard work so you don't have to - they twist and scrub to remove grease, grime and stains. The counter-rotating brushes mimic the natural motion of a hand scrub, without you having to be on hands and knees. Emma demonstrated the machine's nifty work by pouring chocolate milk over the floor before cleaning it up. A quick wipe over the floor with his finger and John Austen verified that the floor was indeed clean and dry.

We liked that the machine was so quiet, which means it would be ideal for use in schools, offices, hotels and care homes, where the building's occupants would not want to be disturbed...

And the fact that since it is cordless, it's safer to use in those types of environments than a machine with a trailing lead might be. Also, when space is tight, it's compact enough to store in small cupboards. Vax Commercial product manager, Tara Humpherson, adds:
