Total Fitness works out three year agreement with GPT Waste Management
GPT Waste Management, has been awarded a three year, total waste management contract with national health club chain, Total Fitness.
Total Fitness is one of the UK's dynamic health club chains with 17 sites. Its fully equipped gyms and range of fitness suites attract 85,000+ members spanning all ages and abilities.
"We are delighted to win this contract, supporting Total Fitness in the achievement of its Waste and Environmental objectives," says Mike Callaghan - Business Development Manager at GPT.
"We look forward to working closely with the Total Fitness team to deliver improved waste management solutions and financial benefits during the contract period."
GPT Waste offers a basic Waste Review Service free of charge.
The UK produces over 400 million tonnes of waste annually and waste output is growing at over 3% per annum and companies can be fined for improper waste management.
"Company waste can be turned into a resource if disposed of correctly," says GPT.
"We work in consultation with your company to understand your requirements in order to provide the waste solution you need.
"Working with a national service provider database we ensure all waste management services are fully compliant. Using the most up to date methods of recovery and recycling, our nominated service providers sort waste collected from commercial and industrial customers, and extract all the recyclable elements.
"Extracting the recyclable elements from mixed commercial waste reduces the tonnage going to landfill; thus reducing your landfill tax liability (scheduled for 33% increase year on year) - saving you money and improving your environmental impact."
