RAS promotes World Toilet Day Commemoration Fund

* ras-world-toilet-day.jpgWorld Toilet Day has been recognised worldwide on 19th November each year since 2001. This international day aims to inspire the global community to take action to break the toilet taboo and raise global awareness that a staggering 2.5 billion people still do not have access to proper sanitation.

RAS, the Restroom Association (Singapore), has introduced The World Toilet Day Commemoration Fund to encourage all preschools and schools to organise toilet-related activities and events in their preschools, schools and community in October or November to commemorate World Toilet Day.

A total of 20 selected preschools and schools will be awarded the fund, which is capped at $250.00 (£120). RAS will work closely with the awarded preschools and schools to provide the necessary assistance and mentoring and outstanding preschools, schools, teachers, staff and students can be nominated for the LOO (Let's Observe Ourselves) Awards.
