Welcome to the Cleanzine - the original Cleaning & Hygiene industry e-news Read by industry professionals in 163 countries worldwide! Well – it’s finally upon us… One of the cleaning industry’s eagerly anticipated highlights – ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam, kicks off on Tuesday morning and it will look nothing like the images you see here, which were posted on the organiser’s Facebook page a week ago. The halls will be packed from floor (and in some cases) to ceiling with the latest offerings from more than 650 leading global brands and the aisles filled with some 28,000 visitors from 130 countries over the four days the event takes up. Am I the only one who thinks the pictures make the halls look so much smaller than they actually are? When you’re walking the floor, it feels as if the show stretches for miles. There’s always so much to see, so many people to talk to and not enough time to do all you need to. This is the first year in the 14 Cleanzine has been broadcasting, that we won’t be producing a ‘Show Daily’ and I have to say that I’m relieved that for once I’ll be able to spend more time looking around the stands and enjoying the show, without having to worry that I’ve got (or perhaps not got) enough copy for the following morning’s issue. John and I will also be able to enjoy our evenings in Amsterdam with our many industry friends and colleagues from around the world, without having to head back to our respective rooms early to get on with our work. We may have been bleary eyed throughout the last seven Amsterdam shows but I can assure you it wasn’t excess alcohol and a night on the tiles which had made us that way! I for one am thoroughly looking forward to the change… If you’re attending the show, I hope it’s everything you want it to be and please make sure you say ‘hello’ if you see us there. We always like meeting Cleanzine’s readers and learning about what industry issues are important to you. Please get in touch either by emailing me or posting a comment on our Facebook page. www.facebook.com/Cleanzine
